Hijo del legendario Lloyd Bridges y hermano del también aclamado Beau Bridges. También se dedica a la música: editó su primer disco el año pasado. Fue nominado en tres opotunidades anteriores: por "Starman", por "Thunderbolt and lightfoot" y por "The last picture show".
